    Hi Cathy! I’m writting an essay about Weapons of Math Destruction for my English class and I was wondering if you think society has made positive progress in mitigating the harms of WMDs since the publication of your book?

      I think awareness has increased a ton! And progress has been made in the area of facial recognition, thanks to projects like Gender Shades and the Algorithmic Justice League. We have a long way to go in most other industries.
