I’ve got a new Bloomberg View piece, which I think any fans of Aunt Pythia will enjoy:

    Clearly a sex robot, properly programmed by females, and customized by the end user, would be an enhancement over dildos and vibrators and lead to better and longer sustained multiple orgasms. But I’m willing to bet that the hormonal release from being in very close proximity to another human being with his or her own hormonal release, will never be replicated by using a sex robot instead of a human partner.

    There’s an interesting episode on Dark Mirror which explores the use of a bot to replace a spouse. While not an essential part of the story, the human is female and the bot is male in that story. The story isn’t about competition but about mourning.
